Organoids refer to tissue-like structures formed through in vitro three-dimensional (3D) cultivation using adult stem cells or pluripotent stem cells. While organoids are not true human organs, they can mimic real organs in terms of structure and function, closely resembling the tissue's structure and function while allowing for long-term stable passaging cultures.
